About Us

G17 University Ambassadors Consortium is a global undergraduate platform initiated by the Road to Rights youth-led organization with its ultimate vision to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development within the university community. Therefore, this will be on progress up until 2030 under the decade of action where every year G17 will recognize 17 young Ambassadors from each university to go through a one year long experiential leadership program with its various activities. G17 is dedicated towards empowering university undergraduates on Sustainable Development Goals to become the next generation of young professionals and make SDGs a reality through its four pillars: Capacity Building, Leadership, Policy Advocacy, and Action.

Positions in the Executive Committee

  1. Executive Member for Media and Communication

The executive member is responsible for maintaining the social media visibility and branding of G17 university Ambassadors Consortium.

  2. Executive Member for Human Resource Management

The executive member will be responsible for managing the member base while developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives in the G17 University Ambassadors Consortium.

  3. Executive Member for Monitoring and Evaluation

The executive member is responsible for tracking and updating the monitoring and Evaluation data while ensuring that the G17 members are meeting the expected outcomes.

  4. Executive Member for Technology

The executive is responsible for managing and maintaining the G17 website and Dashboard. He/she is required to bring innovative tech solutions and ideas in order to enhance the operation.

  5. Executive Member for Academic Coordination

The executive is responsible for administering and strategizing the academic work of Ambassadors.

  6. Executive Member for Strategic Partnership Development

Responsible for developing strategic partnerships and effective international relations in order to maintain the sustainability of the G17 University Ambassadors Consortium.

  7. Executive Member for Project Development on SDGs

The Executive is responsible to guide the Ambassadors with the project planning and implementation process, ensuring that the program's objectives are fulfilled.

  8. Executive Member for Digital University Coordination

Executive member is responsible for coordinating the digital university sessions while strategizing the course with innovations. He/she is also required to collaborate with possible partners for an effective and sustainable course.

About The Role

G17 Executives are responsible for the governance, administration and execution of work of the consortium within the country. They are also responsible to strategize the program with innovative and creative ideas in order to ensure the brand visibility and development of the program.

Duration of the Position: 12 months, and a 3 month transition period

Start Date: 1st January 2022

Accountable to: The Founder, The International Leadership Council of the Road to Rights, The Regional Coordinator. The Country Chairperson.

Work With - The Founder, The International Leadership Council of the Road to Rights, The Regional Coordinator. The Country Chairperson, The Executive Committee, University Coordinators, University Ambassadors.

Workplace - Virtual and Physical (Accordingly)

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the responsibilities of the assigned Department effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure that the G17 member base obey and adhere to the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Network and engage with like-minded institutes, universities and academia in order to strengthen the consortium.
  • Ensure that accountability and transparency of the G17 community and work are maintained.
  • Organize and plan capacity building sessions, workshops and other necessary meetings for the member-base when required.
  • Collaborate with other executive members and departments in the workplace.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicant should be an undergraduate or a recent graduate.
  • Applicant must have previous experience in working in a youth organization in terms of project management, community mobilization, and partnership development.
  • Applicant should possess basic knowledge on SDGs, Human Rights, climate action, and be passionate about the objectives of G17 University Ambassadors Consortium.
  • Applicant must be able to devote sufficient time to this position, and having too many conflicting obligations may result in rejection.
  • Having knowledge and experience in working with Google Applications is mandatory.
  • Applicant must be self-motivated, creative, innovative and have the ability to overcome problems.
