We are Deeply honored and humbled to be extending our heartiest congratulation to Global Week to #Act4SDGs campaign where the Road to Rights and G17 Global together being the convening partners of the UN SDG Action Campaign and the UN Foundation participated in the campaign for opening its 2030 agenda to extending its millstones in 2022 to the Global Goal Week Concept. To achieve that goal, all UN member states agreed in September 2015 to adopt "Transforming the World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In the year 2021, The Road to Rights took the initiative to launch a tree planting program called "Tree for Life," planting around 549,000 trees in Sri Lanka. This year, NSBM Green University together with the Road to Rights and G17 Global joined the Global Week to plant trees that will produce fruit, vegetables or medicine to help alleviate the food crisis, and medicine crisis caused by climate change. The G17 University Ambassadors Consortium of the NSBM Green University ave their contribution to the “Tree for Life” corresponding to SDG Week, a program which was launched in collaboration with the United Nations and the G17 Global sorority. The ambassadors of the NSBM Green University have willingly participate in the effort by planting a tree at their houses on 19th September 2022 and have mostly chosen species such as fruits and vegetables, as well as a few other plants that have the botany value of building a micro-environmental cape across them, offering refuge for many vital insects. The Egalitarian program with environmental pioneers at Sri Sumana College, Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, also supported Global Goals Week with NSBM Green University by planting herbal trees on their school grounds. On September 22, 2022. The nature is vital to us not just locally, but also worldwide. As a result, the tree acts as a representation of ecology and the necessity of temperature and climate conservation. Furthermore, it represents our global partnership both humans and nature. Let us mark forests as symbols of peace and empathy, and then work with our oaks to build a better tomorrow. Raising trees is the most beneficial act a people can perform. Humans have been killing the environment since the start of civilization, thus planting trees is akin to repaying beauty of nature. We need fresh answers, new techniques, and new means to cast a light of optimism that reflects change during these challenging times. And as a group, we are a great force capable of bringing about dramatic change and achieving a more favorable future. We are reducing the effects of climate change, slowing biodiversity loss, ensuring clean water and air for everybody, and providing full, healthy forests for succeeding generations by planting more trees and assisting forests to recover in areas that have been significantly damaged. Every tiny action counts so when 7.7 billion individuals make a motion, the world transforms. Trees provide several purposes. For starters, trees act as carbon sinks, taking carbon dioxide from the ambient and emitting oxygen.
